BROOKS BBQ 2 is a family owned barbecue restaurant business that brings North Alabama style barbecue to Central Kentucky. It is a eat-in, carry out and catering restaurant specializing in lunch and dinner dining. North Alabama barbecue is known for its hickory smoked flavor and vinegar based basin sauce. We serve our sandwiches with a 40 year old family slaw (you can get it on the side if you do not want it on the sandwich).
What makes BROOKS BBQ 2 stand out from the other barbecue restaurants in the Lexington-Fayette Metro area, is its unique rub, basting sauce, and hickory wood cooking process. This gives the meat a unique and flavorful taste. Also, the secret, family recipes for slaw, sauces and sides, will provide a truly southern tasting barbecue meal. The recipes for the rub, basting sauce, slaw and sides have been in our family for over 40 years and they have been proven to be successful in the original North Alabama location, that was started by Co-owner Sammie Brooks’ father in the 1960’s, and is presently being run by his sisters in Sheffield, Alabama.
